Well, there hasn't been anything too exciting going on here. We started back to school 2 weeks ago, so we've been keeping busy with homework. Declan has been going to VBS all weekend and he's LOVING it. He's been asking me a lot about why Jesus had to die on the cross this week. I'm so glad that he's so curious and interested to learn about everything. Alaina has been talking...a lot! This morning she climbed into bed with me and we were talking and she put her hands over her eyes, shook her head, and said "i can't believe this". It was too funny!
Pat's boss offered him with an opportunity the other day. There is an opening at the Lake St. Louis location for the same position that he does now. It's his if he wants it, but it's a tough decision. The boss he has now has proven to be amazing and he likes all the women he works with. He is going to go today to meet all the people at the Lake St. Louis location. He has to give his boss notice on Monday of whether he will be staying at Olive or moving to Lake St. Louis. It could be a very exciting opportunity.
Declan starts preschool on August 30. I think I'm more excited about it than he is. I really think he's going to love it and learn so much. I am so glad that God has blessed us with this opportunity. Alaina keeps asking if she gets to go, too. Also next week, I start babysitting a friend of our's little boy. I can hardly wait. He's so cute and tiny!
That's it for now! Oh, if you're interested, I've done one family photo shoot and I have two this weekend and one next week. It's going well so far...I did update my website, so check it out

Pat and I did so well with P90x for the first 60 days and then when we were ready to start phase 3, we just didn't keep the motivation going. We decided, after taking roughly 3 weeks off, to start the program over. This time though, instead of doing the classic routine, both of us are going to be doing the lean routine. The good news: I am starting 10 pounds lighter than I did the first time around! Since Pat has started his new job, we get insurance after he's been there for 60 days which will be the beginning of September. We should be done with this on September 27, so I've set my goal that I want to be at 170lbs by that date. Right now I am at 198.6, so that gives me 3 months to lose 28.6 pounds. I am going to the doctor once we get insurance, you know the doctor's scales always say you weigh more than you do at home, and my goal is for them to be impressed with my weight loss. I realized the other day that when I started this program the first time around, my weight was only 3 pounds less than the weight I was 2 days before delivering Declan. That made me cringe when I realized how much I have let myself go, but here I am, to get myself back on track!

Overall, our holiday weekend was a blast! It started off with my last day at Sams being Thursday, July 1st. Then, on Friday we let the kids do some sparklers, we did a couple of roman candles and then they did the snap pop things that you throw on the ground. They did surprisingly well other than Alaina burning her finger on one of the sparklers. They did NOT like the fountains that made lots of noise, or the firecrackers. Saturday night, we went to watch the big fireworks that got shot off at TR Hughes ballpark, but didn't really get to see too much. Today, the 4th, we went to Ken and Judy's and went swimming, barbequed and had fun hanging out with family. Alaina got stung by a wasp on her ankle as she was standing on the diving board waiting to jump into the pool...poor baby! Then we came home and let the kids do some more sparklers and other small things to celebrate. I decided to play with my manual setting on my camera to see if I could get any good pictures, and here are some of the ones I think turned out alright!
